Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic

On February, 25th, 1992 the independent Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic (FFKR) was formed. In 1994 FFKR becomes the full member of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Since that time very important and responsible period in history of the Kyrgyz football begins. The model of development of football adapted for our realities is actively developed, not departing from the international standards.

In spite of considerable financial and economic difficulties, FFKR, nevertheless, annually conducts national championships, participates in all international competitions. Constantly improves system of education and training of football specialists: coaches, doctors, referees, football managers and others.

Kyrgyzstan National team is the permanent participant of all international competitions held under the aegis of FIFA and AFC. Successful performances of the National team of our country at « Challenge Cup AFC-2006» in Bangladesh where our team has taken the third place, let rise in FIFA rating on 36 positions (119 place among 204 - the best our rating).

Six years in a row champion of Kyrgyzstan football club "Dordoi-Dynamo" (Naryn) propely represented our country at international AFC club competitions. This club is the double winner of "the AFC President's Cup» and participated three times in the final match.

National love in Kyrgyzstan has won futsal. We have regular tournaments and championships among fans of "small area". The National Futsal team of Kyrgyzstan is the constant participant of the championships of Asia, and one of the four top teams of the continent.

Especially it would be desirable to acknowledge the aspirations of our women's football. According to FIFA guidelines for the development of women's football, our federation conducts 8 year the high-grade championship among women clubs successively. The national team on women's football repeatedly took part in official and friendly international games.

Our pride is that we have kept a favorite kind of sports – game of millions. And much, especially recent years, FFKR has made with the support of FIFA and AFC. Experts of these organizations regularly visit Kyrgyzstan, meet with our experts, exchange of experience. Thanks to the cooperation with FIFA the specialized Football centre was built, where at the disposal of young football players there is a number of football grounds (including artificial) and all the conditions for successful training process are created.

The best coaches involved in AFC project receive the monthly monetary grant, and also balls and equipment for the students. The Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic always aspires to support various football clubs and regional federations. Annually, there are training courses for AFC licenses - "A", "B" "C" in which already has taken part more than two hundred football experts. In 2011 two coaches for the first time will receive a license "PRO".
